Working Principle of 2.4 Inch Capacitive Touch Panel
Capacitive Coupling: When a finger (or other conductive object) approaches or touches the screen surface, a coupling capacitor is formed between it and the touch layer. This capacitor alters the distribution and magnitude of the original electric field.
Signal Detection: The controller (drive circuit) continuously applies a drive signal to the electrode array and detects minute capacitance changes at each point on the electrode array using a sensing circuit.
Position Calculation: After receiving the capacitance change values from each detection point, the controller uses complex signal processing and position calculation algorithms to accurately calculate the coordinates (X, Y) of the changed center point or multiple center points.
Signal Output: Finally, the controller sends the calculated touch position coordinate information to the device's main processor via a communication interface. The main processor executes corresponding operations based on the coordinate information, such as clicking or swiping.
