Detailed Instructions for Using 2.4-inch UV Tempered Glass
Leave a message
Due to its high hardness, scratch resistance, and excellent light transmittance, 2.4-inch UV tempered glass is widely used in electronic device screen protectors and precision instrument windows. Proper operation not only ensures optimal performance but also extends its lifespan. Below is a detailed operating guide.
Preparation Before Installation
Before installation, ensure the working environment is clean and dust-free to prevent dust particles from becoming trapped between the glass and the bonding surface. It is recommended to work in a static-free environment to prevent static electricity from attracting impurities. Wear anti-static gloves and avoid direct contact with the glass surface to prevent fingerprints and grease contamination.
Lamination Steps
1. Surface Cleaning: Use a dedicated cleaner or an isopropyl alcohol pad to thoroughly clean dust and oil from the glass and the surface to be bonded.
2. Alignment: Gently align the UV tempered glass with the target surface, ensuring an even gap between the edges and avoiding misalignment caused by pressure.
3. Initial Fixing: Use low-tack tape or a positioning frame to secure the glass in place to prevent shifting.
4. UV Adhesive Curing: Apply UV adhesive evenly to the edges or joints of the glass (if bonding is required). Then, use a UV curing lamp (wavelength 365nm) for 30-60 seconds until the adhesive is completely cured. If using pre-coated tempered glass, you can directly apply adhesive and then apply pressure to release air.
Precautions
• Avoid scratching the surface with sharp tools to prevent cracks.
• If cutting is required, use laser cutting or a diamond wheel, and chamfer the edges after cutting to prevent chipping.
• For storage, it is recommended to store flat in a soft dust bag away from high temperatures or strong acids or alkalis.
With proper handling, 2.4-inch UV tempered glass can fully demonstrate its protective and light-transmitting properties, making it suitable for a variety of demanding applications.
